Level 1: 8 Weeks
Level 3: Lifestyle Change
1. Which of the following levels appeals to you the most & why?
2. What resources or type of support would help you stay motivated to follow through on one of the levels?
3. If you schedule a call with a health coach, what types of questions would you ask him/her?
Goal Worksheet
Instructions: Get into groups of two or three people & read through the following and respond to the questions:
1. Finding Your WHY:
Finding the right motivation is the key to starting and keeping a healthy lifestyle. Think about the reasons WHY you want to lead a healthy lifestyle. “Losing weight” or “looking good on the beach” isn’t the right kind of incentive. Instead think about activities you once did, but can’t anymore. Think about the people you would like to be active with as a result of improved health. What type of activities would you do and who would you do them with?
Bottom line, if you were experiencing a new level of physical health and wellness, what would you be doing and why?
2. Finding A Wellness Partner
We all need cheerleaders in our life, especially when developing new habits. Is there anybody in this small group or at the church that could be your partner in this endeavor? (It would be great if each person could pair up with one, or no more than two other people to keep each other motivated!)
Write down several names of people you think could be your wellness partner:
3. Making A Plan (Decision Time!)
What is your “why” and how will you measure your progress toward that goal?
What excites you about making some lifestyle challenges for your health?
Which level have you decided to begin with and why?
What foods will you eliminate or add?
What drinks will you eliminate or add?
What physical activities will you begin?
What days & times will you engage in physical activities?
How will you track your progress? (Notebook, Fitbit, My Fitness Pal App?)
Will you schedule a call with the Dooable Health coach or with Arlene Peters to help you develop your plan?
If you have selected a wellness partner, please contact them & set up a plan for communication & mutual encouragement.
*LifePoint Church and Dooable Health recommend that you consult with your doctor before making any radical diet or exercise changes to your lifestyle.
